Helen Sfikas Rogers was raised in Nashville, attending Hillsboro High School. She graduated from Vanderbilt University, magna cum laude, in three years. She graduated from Nashville School of Law in 1980 at the top one-third of her class. Mrs. Rogers has been licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee since October 4, 1980.

Mrs. Rogers has been very active in professional activities. She taught Law Office Management, Domestic Relations, and Corporations at Southeastern Paralegal Institute for ten years. She is a frequent lecturer to the public and gives seminars to colleagues on the subjects of Probate, Legal Ethics, and Domestic Relations. She has handled hundreds of non-jury and jury trials in State and Federal Courts in Tennessee and other jurisdictions. Many of her cases argued before the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court have been reported and some have changed the law in Tennessee.

Mrs. Rogers was an early leader among attorneys trained as a Mediator and has handled numerous mediation cases. She is also certified by the Tennessee Commission of Legal Specialization as a Civil Trial Specialist. For five years Mrs. Rogers served as a member of the hearing panel of the Board of Professional Responsibility, which disciplines attorneys. She is an “AV Rated” attorney in the Martindale-Hubbell Directory, which is its highest rating. She is also listed in their Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.

Helen Sfikas Rogers has been a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She was the first woman President of the Parish Council and is now the advisor for the Church Youth Group. She speaks fluent Greek. Mrs. Rogers is married to Larry Kamm. They have three daughters, Irena, Sara, and Stella. Mrs. Rogers enjoys playing bridge, watching Vanderbilt basketball, and traveling.
