Renowned and Respected Family Law Attorneys
Helen Sfikas Rogers has practiced law for over 30 years and has tried or mediated some of the most complex and hotly contested divorces in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. She is qualified by the Tennessee Supreme Court as a Rule 31 mediator and by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Certified Civil Trial Specialist, a hard-won designation based on legal acumen and demonstrated courtroom advocacy. She has also argued more than 60 cases before state and federal appellate courts, including a reported decision on interstate child custody that now stands as the law of the land in Tennessee.
Helen formerly presided over family law matters as she was asked to serve as a Special Judge in Davidson County. Having endured her own divorce many years ago, she can empathize with her clients as they struggle to separate the emotions from the legal issues at hand.
Her practice is chiefly devoted to divorce and family law, along with estate planning and probate.
Lawrence (Larry) Kamm has worked for the firm for eight years, and practiced alongside his wife as Helen's law partner since 2006. He has a background in computers and has legal experience in contract litigation and creditors' rights. He handles all facets of domestic relations law, including family law appeals, as well as business and commercial law. Mr. Kamm argued a significant constitutional issue before the Tennessee Supreme Court in February, 2009.
Siew-Ling Shea is also a partner of the firm and practices in all areas of divorce and child custody. She has also been employed long term by the firm. She brings a strong background in business, public relations, project management and office management. Ms. Shea has tried along with Ms. Rogers, numerous complex domestic cases lasting over a week in length successfully.
Along with a dedicated and knowledgeable support staff, Rogers, Kamm & Shea is committed to fair and workable solutions out of court when possible, but vigorous representation of client interests when contested proceedings cannot be avoided.
